Blair Imani
Blair is an African-American Author that came out as queer in 2017. She has been supporting the Black Lives Matter movement and has been encouraging LGBT+ Muslims. Her book Stories of Women and Non binary People Rewriting History showcases the importance of people of color, queer and transgender people, and people with disabilities. It highlights the changes they make to our community and the world. She was protesting after the Alton Sterling shooting. Blair was arrested at the protest, along with her partner Akeem Muhammad. Blair's website discourages the use of violence, even against police.

Born in Denton, Texas, she was in 2015 and 2018 named on of the most influential people in the US. After George Floyd was brutally murdered, Kendi appeared before the United States House Committee on Ways and Means about how Covid-19 was disproportionately affecting African Americans, saying: “This is the racial pandemic within the viral pandemic”. Ibram has been a long-time outspoken critic of police involved killings of black men and women. In 2020, after speaking about how his bestseller, How to Be an Antiracist saw renewed interest during the George Floyd protests, Kendi called the mood in the United States during the protests "a signature, significant distinct moment of people striving to be anti racist".

As the leading voice of the Black Lives Matter movement, DeRay is not afraid to be active in protests across states, evident when he attended the 2015 protests for Freddie Gray, a Baltimore resident who sustained serious head and spine injuries after being arrested, as well as the 2014 protests for Darren Wilson, a man who was fatally shot by police officers. DeRay started Campaign Zero, a platform to end police violence and brutality. Mckesson is also the author of On the Other Side of Freedom: The case for Hope, an autobiography about his life as a Black Lives Matter organizer.
